ThreadCopy is a Chrome browser extension that copies thread content from X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Reddit to your clipboard. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Data Collection

ThreadCopy does not collect, store, transmit, or share any data. Specifically:

No personal information is collected
No browsing history is tracked
No analytics or telemetry data is gathered
No cookies are set
No data is sent to any server
No accounts or registration are required

How It Works

When you click the ThreadCopy button on a supported page, the extension reads the visible content of the current page (post text, author names, timestamps) and copies it to your local clipboard. All processing happens entirely within your browser. No data ever leaves your device.

Permissions

activeTab — Used to read the content of the current page when you click the copy button. Only activates on the tab you are viewing.
clipboardWrite — Used to copy extracted thread text to your clipboard.
Host permissions (twitter.com, x.com, linkedin.com, reddit.com) — Used to inject the floating copy button on supported platforms.

Third Parties

ThreadCopy does not integrate with any third-party services, APIs, or analytics platforms. No data is shared with anyone.
